Terms of Use
Oxfordshire Discoveries Circle Ltd
Last updated: 16 July 2026
Welcome to Oxfordshire Discoveries Circle. These terms cover your use of our website and, because our website is where you join our guestlist and book events, they also set out the terms on which we offer those services. By using this site, joining the guestlist, or booking an event, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
Oxfordshire Discoveries Circle Ltd, company no. 17343232, registered office 71-75, Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ. Contact: info@oxfordshirediscoveriescircle.com. "We", "us" and "the Circle" mean Oxfordshire Discoveries Circle Ltd; "you" means the person using this website or attending our events.
2. Using this website
The content of this site, text, images, video, and branding, belongs to us or our licensors. You're welcome to browse and share links, but please don't copy, republish, or use our content commercially without permission. We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we can't promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.
3. Guestlist and invitations
Joining our guestlist is free and doesn't commit you to anything. Invitations to invitation-only events are issued at our discretion, based on the aim of composing a well-balanced table and the information you share with us. We never make decisions based on protected characteristics such as race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability, or age (other than requiring guests to be 18 or over).
4. Event bookings
Booking. Bookings are made through this website at the prices shown. Unless an event page says otherwise, bookings are limited to two tickets per order. All guests must be 18 or over.
What's included. Each event page describes what your ticket includes. Anything you order at the venue beyond your ticket's inclusions is between you and the venue, at the venue's prices.
Prices. The price shown is the full price you pay. We may change prices for future events at any time; confirmed bookings are never repriced.
5. Changes and cancellations by us
Occasionally we may need to change an event's details (such as timing or menu) or, rarely, cancel it, for example if a venue becomes unavailable or minimum numbers aren't reached. If we make a significant change or cancel, we'll tell you as soon as we can and offer you a choice of a full refund or a transfer to another event.
6. Cancellations by you
You may cancel your booking up to 7 days before the event for a full refund. Within 7 days of the event, we'll offer your seat to our waitlist and refund you if it's filled; otherwise, because venues and menus are committed based on final numbers, we're unable to refund late cancellations or no-shows. If you can no longer attend, you may transfer your ticket to another person, provided you tell us in advance and they complete our guest registration.
A note on your statutory rights. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, the usual 14-day online cancellation right does not apply to leisure services supplied for a specific date. Our goodwill policy above applies instead. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights where services are not provided with reasonable care and skill.
7. At our events
Our events are built around good company, and we ask every guest to help keep them that way. We may decline entry to, or ask someone to leave, an event if their behaviour makes other guests or venue staff uncomfortable, or breaches the venue's rules, in that case no refund is due. Guests are responsible for their own belongings and for complying with the venue's terms while on its premises.
8. Photography
We sometimes capture photography and short video at events for our marketing. We ask about this at booking, and any guest can opt out at any time, see our Privacy Policy for details.
9. Our responsibility to you
We organise and host events with reasonable care and skill. Venues are independent businesses responsible for their own premises, food, and drink; where something goes wrong that is within a venue's control, we'll help you resolve it with them. We are not responsible for losses that are not a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under UK law.
10. Your information
How we collect and use your personal information, including your guestlist answers, dietary needs, and hosting profile, is explained in our Privacy Policy.
11. General
We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page applies to new bookings from the date it's posted. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes belong to the courts of England and Wales.
